Elea Laboratory started its activity over 60 years ago, exactly on December 30, 1939.
Since the very beginning, it was well known for its high complexity products, like the adrenal cortex stimulant hormone (Acthelea). In order to obtain the necessary hypophyses (raw material) for processing, it installed its plant in the Neighborhood of Mataderos (meat packing plants area).
Very soon it also built a facility for mice and other laboratory animals which were used for product development as well as for quality control, in order to ensure the high quality of its marketed products.
This facility, with its different kinds and species of animals became the pride of the Argentine Pharmaceutical industry and a major supplier to the most important R & D facilities in the country.
